Spiced Apples

4 Gala apples, peeled and cored
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. nutmeg
2 T. water
1 T. butter

Mix together brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a small bowl. In a casserole dish coat apples with brown sugar mixture. Pour water over the top and place pats of butter around the dish. Cover and microwave for 8 minutes (OR Cook all in a medium pot on the stove on medium high heat with the lid on for 10 minutes).
